#NebraskaThursdays kickoff on October 5th was a resounding success! Students enjoyed a lunch of pork roast, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, melon, milk, &, as always, a fresh salad bar. Two whole processed hogs were received as a donation from Todd & Darlene Wardyn and provided the main entree for the meal. Trotter's Greenhouse provided fresh vegetables for the salad bar as well. Nebraska Thursdays focuses on bringing fresh, locally-sourced foods to school cafeterias and will continue on the first Thursday of each month.
