ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Litchfield Public School is a PreK-12 school located in Sherman County. The Litchfield School District covers 192 square miles and includes the towns of Hazard, Litchfield, Mason City, the southern portion of Sherman County, and the eastern portion of Custer County.
Academically, Litchfield is a 1:1 school that places a strong emphasis on natural integration of technology into the classroom. Some classes currently offered at Litchfield PS include: Online Advanced Placement Courses, Agricultural Education, Keyboarding, Accounting, Band, Chorus, Physical Education, Spanish I-IV, Weights, Beginning and Advanced Art, Journalism, Graphic Design, Distance Education, College Dual-credit Classes, Business and Marketing, and more.
Litchfield has enjoyed a competitive sports cooperative with Ansley, NE, since the 2012-2013 school year, allowing us to offer more sports and extracurricular activities.
Extracurricular Activities available at LPS include: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Wrestling, Rifle Club, FBLA, Speech, One Act, Quiz Bowl, Student Council, Honor Society, Cross Country, Cup Stacking, and FFA.
