Rebecca Vega grew up in Columbus, Nebraska where she met and married her husband Miguel A. Vega Jr. She got her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta where she graduated with honors in 2006. Since graduating she has taught K-2 Special Education, 2nd grade regular education, and 5th grade regular education in Rome, N.Y. from 2007-2014. In 2014 she moved with her family back to Nebraska and since 2016 has been teaching 5th and 6th grade at Litchfield Public Schools.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys reading, crocheting, American Sign Language especially for songs, and American Ninja Warrior.
