I would like to start by saying that I love being here, and part of the Litchfield Public schools.  My name is Lance Ellison, I am the new 3rd and 4th grade teacher, also I will be taking on the coaching duties of Co-head JH and Varsity Wrestling.  Teaching has always been my dream even though it has taken many years to get here.  

Growing up in the near by conference school of Callaway, I had many inspirational teachers.  I knew at once that I wanted to impact the lives of students the way that they impacted mine.  My first attempt at college came to a pause, when my first wife and I suddenly started our family.  Ten year passed and many wonderful experiences before I got a chance to finish what I started.  I both started and completed my teaching degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  My first 5 years of teaching were at Shelton Elementary School teaching everything from 2nd grade to 6th grade and coaching JH Football, JH wrestling and Varsity assistant Wrestling as well as many club sports.  

My family and I decided that it was time for a change and this job was a great opportunity that I could not pass up.  My wife and our 4 daughters have been greatly pleased with moving to the town of Litchfield and contributing to the school.   My oldest son and daughter live in Grand Island with their mom.  They are also pleased with how welcoming this town has been when they are here to visit.
