I am Mrs. Poland.  I received my teaching degree from UNK in December 2007.  Since then, I have substituted at various schools in the area and taught Summer School at Boy’s Town in Omaha (2009).  I have worked at Litchfield Public School in various areas since graduating, too.  I substituted in the spring of 2008, worked as Math 7 teacher and was a Special education aide (2008-2009).  In 2009, I began teaching Math 7, Math 8, Consumer and Business Math, and lead teacher for the Journey’s reading program for 7th and 8th graders.   I have taught summer school for Junior and Senior High students since 2009.  Presently, I am the Class of 2015 sponsor as well as teach Math 7, Math 8, Algebra I Foundations, Consumer Math, and Journey’s 8.  Added to my list of duties, I head up the Litchfield After School program since August 2012.

Before teaching, I was a Certified Medical Assistant at Central Health Center in Kearney.  I was a medical assistant for 15 years.  When I started back to school, I worked part-time and went to school full-time until I student taught at Reservoir Middle School in Newport News, Virginia.
